I'm looking for a local bakery that sells healthy, fresh bread. Since farmer's market season is over I'm having trouble finding a consistent source for good bread. I would prefer to stay near the Tucker/Decatur area but will travel within the metro if necessary.

Thanks!

I can certainly understand the recommendation for YDFM, however, they don't have exactly what I am looking for. I wish they did...

They don't have exactly what I am looking for either but have a better selection than anywhere else. I usually just buy the ingredients there and bake it at home.

What exactly are you looking for? "Healthy" could mean a lot of different things.

100% whole wheat bread that doesn't have rye in it. I am feeding picky boys and a picky spouse.

Publix Multi-Grain. I buy it in Atlanta and bring it back to SSI to freeze. Love that bread.

I forget what kind of breads they have but Alon's has been my favorite bakery for a while. They make the most authentic croissants I have had since I left Europe.

Atlanta's Full Cup Bread makes an excellent whole wheat loaf. I've bought it at Savi in Brookhaven but I've seen it elsewhere in Atlanta. You can also order it online (just Google 'Full Cup Bread').

I'm not sure where you could buy it in Tucker or Decatur. You might be able to contact them and find out if a store there sells it.
