Great news for a historic landmark in Atlanta. Now the building across the street, next to the connector needs to be saved.

So is this going to be a project basically? Great... Will the owners collect tons of $$$$$$ from subsidized rent from the govt just like those places on Boulevard.

Good, that building is very dated. I still love Zoo Atlanta no matter how terrible other people say it is.

It sure is. I took some of the grandkids out there last weekend and the reptile building looks about the same as it did when I was little. The snakes and lizards deserve better!

I wish they would expand the Zoo outwards a little bit into the parking lots, and put the parking lots underground, similar to the botanical gardens. That would create the space needed for say, the elephants, which seem to be in a sad enclosure and could even up a little more park space before the zoo is expanded. Other than that, I think the zoo here is great - too many people always look at the negatives in everything.
