When I was laid off I was going to go into the Navy. The only thing that stopped me was my dietary restrictions.

I wish I had the time to do that.

I'll take a look into the alumni association and see where it leads. I know there's a fee to get in and a fee to use the career center. I'm a little hesitant on that, but when push comes to shove and I have no other choice, might as well.

ferrariman-

You need to do the following things:

1. Start working two retail jobs so you are putting in 40+ hours a week. You need money, so you need to work more.
2. Look for a admin/clerical job near where you live. Once you get some work experience you can try to find a job in ATL.
3. Get some certified software skills. These classes cost money, but working more hours will allow you to do this.

Good luck.

We're not getting anywhere with this circular argument.

Well, I keep trying and trying to get in touch with the employment agencies in my area, and they keep telling me that they will call me if they find anything for me. This was about two weeks ago. Still nothing.

So now what?

No offense, but going to the army and having the potential of coming home from North Korea, Iran or Syria in a body bag is not my thing.

Either come up with something else or stay out of this conversation, please.
