I tried that and it didn't work. I need someone to talk to, to advocate for me, who has an inside track. Online job boards won't cut it. I send my resume and never hear back.

Does anyone know who can help me? I can't keep looking much longer. I need money to pay mounting medical bills.

Yeah, and as I mentioned earlier, I have a job at Walgreens. But I need to move on to full time work and fast. I need to pay off bills and engineer the second act in my life.

Most recruiters I know of deal with mostly with positions of director or above. You can occasionally find recruiters that do manager placements. I do not know of any recruiters that place at the clerical level. Executive recruiters typically get paid based on a percentage of your salary. Hence, it is in their best interest to place people that demand higher salaries as the recruiter will earn more income.

That said, you might try temp agencies. Look on-line for temp agencies in Atlanta. Atlanta's unemployment level is a full percentage point higher than the US national average per the Atlanta Business Chronicle so this obviously will not be easy. Especially for jobs that require a relatively low skill set.

Do you know of any good temp agencies that can work with out-of-state people looking to move and can offer the possibility of permanent placement? Bouncing from assignment to assignment isn't very tempting.

Is Hire Dynamics a good staffing agency to work for? I'm considering working with them to get the job I need.

To OP: What industry are you trying to get into? For office work contact the recruiting firm Robert Half. They have temp divisions (Accountemps) and clerical division (Office Team). They are primarily a Finance recruiting firm but you said in a previous post that you have clerical skills. Contact the Office Team division asd they specialize in placing clerical/administrative people. Good luck to you

I'll give them a call on Monday. Thanks for the suggestion!

Recruiters do all kinds of roles. I'm not at director level or manager and dealt with tons of recruiters.

They don't do minimum wage or close to it much. That obviously isn't worth the cost.

I can almost guarantee you it's because you're in Florida right now looking for an entry-level job in Atlanta. Business aren't going to go with someone who needs to relocate, etc. before starting for that type of job when there's probably thousands of folks here locally that can start right away.

If one of the temp agencies are willing to work with you while you're out of state I'd say that's your best bet. Or move here first.
