well, i don't know what to say. i was pretty proud of the walking dead until this season, when it turned into an all out slasher film. i had to stop watching it, it was ridiculous, i can't believe they can rate it TV-14. since it's a voluntary rating system i guess they can make it whatever they want, but i'm past the 'age requirement' and i thought this season was just brutal, it's like the ancient romans filling their lust for violence by watching lions slay people live... i don't have any interest in that and am no longer proud to call it a tv show filmed here in atlanta. as for the reality shows, i haven't watched any of them and have no interest in doing so.

I don't want to derail this thread, just wanted to say I know where you're coming from.

I would never tell any media it needs to censor. But I have noticed that some prime time shows are getting as violent as some of the most notorious horror films 20 years ago. I used to be a real gorehound, but I never got into "torture porn." My girfriend likes all that stuff, she watches American Horror Story and all that. I remember a few years ago she was watching 24 and some guy was getting a power drill through his hand.

Hey, if that's what you want to watch, fine, but it's not how I want to relax after a day of work. It used to be you had to go out and seek that kind of stuff, now it's just on your TV. And I'm no wimp, I've seen Cannibal Holocaust, all the Guinea Pigs, Nekromantik, pretty much everything that was notorious in the 80s and 90s. Back then we were freaks and horror movie weirdos, but now that type of violence has become super mainstream. I wonder what that says about society.

I watched the Big Rich Atlanta premiere, and it bored me to tears.

The Sumter girls seem alright, though.

Default Two newest ATL "reality" shows premiere ...

OOPS! Here's the REST of my OP ... I blame iPhone!

... and its a tossup which one is worse!

Style Network's "Big Rich Atlanta" is icky beyond words -- these women actually make the ROHA look good! And Oxygen's "Bad Girls Club ATL" is disgusting even for that franchise! Where do they find this trash? Honey Boo Boo has more class, and is homegrown to boot!

This makes FIVE (5!) new Atlanta-based "reality" shows just this month! The others are "The Sisterhood" and "Totally Tboz" on TLC and "Double Divas" on Lifetime. And that's not all! According to the AJC's Peach Buzz, at least five more are in the works for release later this year, three of them on Bravo: Kim Zolciak's "Tardy for the Party," a show about doctor's wives called "Married to Medicine" and something called "Making Atlanta."

What did we do to deserve this?

SOMEWHAT RELATED ... Lifetime canceled "Drop Dead Diva" this week, surprising since ratings had remained strong and last season ended with a major cliffhanger that remains unresolved. The show was based in Peachtree City and had a big impact on the Fayette County economy over the past four years of the recession. Creator Josh Berman is shopping it to other networks so hopefully it will get picked up for a 5th season. Would be a shame to see all the investment they made down there go away.

I tried watching Big Rich Atlanta as well...I only made it about 30 minutes. The only interesting thing I found was that the manly girl, (Ashlee I think?) lives down the street from me. Other than that, it's a train wreck. The footage of Atlanta was at least pretty, though.

Are people ITT actually suggesting TWD Season 2 is better than 3?

Seasonal 1 >> Season 3 >>>>>> Season 2

Season 2 was a dumpster fire.
