I'm not worked up. I'm making a common sense statement that you disagree with. Those are not the same thing.

Anybody caught robbing, stealing, defacing art or committing any other crime on the Beltline should be put to work cleaning up horse and dog poop.

Morons. Real graffiti looks great on the Beltline (like what's under the Virginia Avenue and North Highland bridges), but tagging is pathetic. What's worse is when taggers scribble over art that's already on the Beltline, like the artwork on the wall near TWO urban licks' backdoor.

"Hey look I wrote my name, which has zero artistic value, on this thing."

I like the idea, but have to do it bare handed, no gloves.

Same here. If you really want to appreciate the evolution, look at that stretch on Google Maps. The satellite image hasn't been updated since before the trail was installed, so it's seriously night and day with how it looks now. It's literally a dirt path on the map!

I can't wait to see the SW portion develop. The SW 5K is coming up in July, and I may run it just to see that area from the street level.

PATH400 just hit pay dirt. Buckhead's planned cousin to the uber-patronized Beltline now has full funding for its first phase, thanks to the latest $2 million chip-in by the Buckhead Community Improvement District. The CID made its pledge official this week, about two weeks after the eventual 5.2-mile multi-use trail got its robotic-sounding moniker and a January start date for construction. The PATH400 trail will one day stretch along Ga. 400 from just south of the tolls to Morosgo Drive near Lindbergh. For now, the first section between Lenox and Old Ivy roads has full financial backing, marking another significant step in what's already been a surprisingly speedy process; only about three years elapsed from feasibility study to groundbreaking.
