Looks like the graffitiologists wasted no time in tagging the new Beltline bridge.

Painting over graffiti is like shaking the Etch-a-Sketch for taggers......

Two questions:

Isn't a new tunnel under Hulsey the only ultimate solution? (you could actually tunnel under an elevated Dekalb and Hulsey)

Why must the Beltine wrap behind Enso and continue on across Glenwood to Custer? Why wouldn't we have it continuous from Wylie to Glenwood via Bill Kennedy (it's a straight shot as shown in the bottom pic in the link)?

(so maybe that was three questions)

I'm thinking it's because Bill Kennedy is so narrow through the Glenwood development. Imagine putting light rail AND a trail on that little street....perhaps that's why.

I see what you're saying. I'm just concerned that, with so many obstacles from Glenwood to Dekalb,
the work in the article will not change much from what it is right now. I bike it now - it's not a bad route, but there are several major intersections to cross. Perhaps the transit could go straight through on BKW with the trail wrapping around behind Enso.

Yes, That is the plan.

Just a footnote -- for the folks who don't seem to think Buckhead is a core aspect of the city, just remember all the great contributions that pour out of there for things like the Beltline, the Symphony, the High Museum, Central Atlanta Progress, Grady and many other hospitals, the Aquarium, our pro sports teams, our schools and universities, the Millennium Arch, our parks, news media, arts funding, etc., etc., etc.

Not to mention a staggering chunk of our tax base.

Anyone who thinks that is just plain ignorant. I shutter to think what would happen to COA if Buckhead were ever to secede and incorporate on its own...
