Why park a mile away when there is parking available across the street from PCM on the North Avenue side? Lots of parallel parking spaces available. I do that all the time instead of wasting $3. Or just park off my old street at Ralph McGill and walk over there. That is maybe a quarter of a mile.

I gotta be honest here; I'm pretty sure I would pony up the $3 to park at PCM for 90 minutes [if I'm reading the parking rates correctly] rather than park for free even half a mile away. I see it as buying some convenience, unless I intend to stick around PCM long enough that the parking fee is no longer worth it.
