Did y'all ever move to Newnan?? My husband is considering a job in Newnan so I'm doing my research. Do you like it? We are a family of five with three small kids, and the kids well being and easy adjustment are my main concerns. I have lived in the same medium size FL town my whole life so a move is a bit nerve racking, to say the least. I also know that change is good...at least that's what they say, right??
If you have any input, I'd appreciate it.
So that we can be of better assistance to you, read the following first, answer the questions with as much detail as you can (with an emphasis on where you and your husband will be working so that you can attempt to minimize your rush hour commutes), and post the answers to the questions below in a new thread so that you can generate more replies from the very-helpful posters in the Atlanta forum:

Helpful Tip,
For all of those about to move or thinking about moving to the Atlanta metro area, in order for us to better assist you and for you to get more responses please provide us with as much of the following information as possible in your initial post please:

1. Budget
2. House/Condo/Townhome?
3. Employment Status(commute/work from home)
4. Children(public school vs. private)
5. Suburban or Urban lifestyle preference or a mix of the two
6. Easy access to public transit, important or not?
7. Preferable demographics of desired neighborhood.

These are just a few off the top of my head, feel free to add more.

Hey Tallymom, we did not move to Newnan. We chose Woodstock instead. We really wanted to be closer to the mountains and Cherokee county has better schools. Sorry I couldn't be much help. I heard sharpsburg is nice though and close to Newnan. So that could also be a possibility?
