Thanks for the reply and advice. I found a home I love in the Blackwell school district, and another in the Shallowford district. I think I am going to end up going with the Blackwell house if they accept my offer.
Funny you should mention Martin's Landing- that is seriously my dream neighborhood! My problem is my budget is only about 150k and I haven't found much in N Fulton at that price I liked.
I did a test drive on Friday after work and it wasn't fun dealing with all the surface streets but definitely doable.

150K is tight. Since you didn't define your housing needs, but there are some in south & mid Forsyth in the 180+ range. That i've seen around.

Yes my realtor told me about Forsyth, especially with their lower taxes, but I did not see enough diversity in the elementary schools in that price range. Thanks for the suggestion!

Rolling Acres is a good neighborhood--a lot of my classmates lived there. The middle school is Hightower Trail.
Either one is a good choice--though Blackwell, etc. will have more of the school environment you are looking for.
