Intown Atlanta can easily support both the downtown and Buckhead districts. It's by no means an either/or situation.

I'm not surprised.

Buckhead doesn't get much love on this board, it seems, but it is a juggernaut and the wise would never bet against it.

Creative Loafing must not of declared it hip enough. Or I guess "hipster" enough.

Because it's like a strange mix of urban and suburban. If it were more urban, it would be more favorable among posters on here.

Good thing for Buckhead that the economy isn't driven by a niche subset of liberally minded posters on an internet board as it is by businesses who rent class A office space and people who have and spend a lot of money.

Obviously. Just look at Perimeter Center. Much more suburban then Buckhead and it's doing fine. Buckhead just has nothing going on for it atm as far as things to do recreationally/nightlife. Things will change once Streets of Buckhead/Buckhead Atlanta come.

That is so true. No reason whatsoever to be coming to Buckhead.

Well, I mean, people here love to compare it to it's 'heydays' where it had blocks of bars and stuff. That stuff is no longer there. It's nightlife is almost non-existent compared to Midtown/Crescent ave. It's only got a few malls going on for it to be honest.
