We are considering a move to Atlanta for my husbands job and plan to live in Acworth. Our children are elementary age and attend a Catholic school. We would like to continue with the Catholic education, however, I am having a difficult time understanding what the options may be in the Northwest Atlanta suburbs. Based on my research thus far, I understand there are really only two options for K-8:

St. Catherine's in Kennesaw
St. Mary's in Rome

Also, regarding high schools, it appears the closest catholic high school is Blessed Trinity in Roswell.

Are there any other Christian-based elementary or secondary schools closer to Acworth that are recommended? St. Mary's looks like it will be too far and I worry about the same thing for high school and the commute between Acworth and Roswell.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to look into Whitefield Academy in Smyrna--not Catholic, but a well-respected Christian School. Not that close to Acworth but closer than Marist and St. Pius would be. . .I know folks who go to Cornerstone Preparatory School, which is an interesting school in Acworth. It is on the university-model, children go three days a week. It is sort of a hybrid of homeschool and regular school--really cool concept.
