Auburn Ave could use a few new bars so help diverse the nightlife options a little because that area is a goldmine. It's right off 75/85 with plenty of free parking.
Looking forward to Georgia Beer Garden opening. What Edgewood needs is a place (or a few) with street facing outdoor seating areas. They would also bring some daytime traffic to the area, because Edgewood is still pretty deserted before sunset.

Edgewood is extremely popular now. Traffic was backed up on 75/85 on the Edgewood exit this past Saturday night. I know of at least 3 new places opening on Edgewood within the next 6 months.

The Beer Garden just got their building permit so they will not open for another several months.

I know of about 4 new places opening on Auburn Ave. Hopefully someone will add a few bars to the lineup

I think the traffic backup was caused by police closing Edgewood at the Exxon gas station and directing cars on a detour route from all the birthday bash visitors. Birthday bash revelers going to compound howell mill, Castleberry peter streets and peachtree street were all extremely and unusually busy this past weekend.

Idk. It must be huge events going on every weekend because around midnight it starts backing up on 75/85 every weekend . I live in the area so I see it weekly. I hope the police stay out in force on Edgewood to prevent anything bad from happening because it's so busy. Hopefully Auburn Ave will hurry up and start popping to divert some of the madness off Edgewood.

Oh okay, I know it's extremely hard to get through Edgewood on the weekends because people are walking in the streets. I just waited to hear a story about someone got hit. I'm extremely excited for the area.

I am glad to see this happening. The city needs a party district and Edgewood is the ideal place for it.

Once folks start taking the streetcar that should resolve the traffic problems.

Me and my family were in town 2 weekends ago and of course me and some of my friends and family members around my age went out to Edgewood on a Saturday night and the streets were packed. I made the mistake of actually driving down Edgewood all the way instead of just driving on Auburn to find parking. Since I'll be moving to Atlanta in a couple of months and will be venturing off into Edgewood every now and then at night time I have a question for my Atl natives? Is it ok to drive on the streetcar track? I saw everybody else doing it so I assumed it was safe but I didn't think the streetcar would stop on the track with cars infront of the train? I'm from Houston so our metrorail tracks do not share the road the exact same way it does on Edgewood ave. The metrorail does not stop for traffic you will get hit!

You can drive on it

Treat the streetcar like it's a car

Hopefully they are better than the bikers, at keeping a very important bike lane clear.
