.i am new to alpharetta and dont know who to contact please advisei have a wine collection i would like to sell.it includes first growths and hard to find italian and california stored in temperature controlled facility please advise how to find buyers i am new to area of alpharetta

I don't have the answer, but I'd suggest going to a liquor/wine shop and picking up a copy of their wine publications. Or perhaps go to Borders and buy some wine magazines for tips.

It sounds like you have some true rarities. If so, I would try selling the wine at auction. The audience at wine auctions generally consist of many very knowledgeable wine people and the auction causes them to bid against each other. Your chances of getting the best price selling directly to a wholesaler are low. You could try Craigslist, but I can't imagine there are a lot of wine collectors looking to buy wine that way. You should also keep in mind that state laws may jam you up trying to sell into a secondary market without a license.

Those pesky Georgia beverage laws! Indeed, be careful how you proceed. There is a reason you can find 'Two Buck Chuck' in Kroger now. If I may mention a business or two, Bev Warehouse on Alpharetta Hwy in Roswell may be a good contact as well as a wine specialty shop on Old Alabama(I think) owned by a former pro ball player(I think).
