Default What company do you use for Homeowners Insurance?

There was a post recently about the average price of insurance being around $500, but who do you use specifically? Is there a big difference in customer service, claims response and premiums between different agencies here?
Thanks for your help in advance!

I don't know about the claims part. I have not had any interaction with them after paying the premium. Liberty Mutual was competitive.

I just went with the same company (Liberty Mutual) that also does our auto insurance, which is the same thing we did in our previous location (Twin Cities).

I've been happy with them in terms of auto insurance claims, but we've never had the opportunity to test their home insurance services other than payments.

We had State Farm in Florida , and stayed with SF in GA. We had to put in a claim for some leaking behind our shower valve and they responded very quicky.

I'm a USAA member. They are almost always ranked #1 or #2 across the nation. However, they are only for military and their dependents. If you are not military- that "other" company that is #1 or #2 when USAA is the other is, Amica.
I've always believed that its not about price- its about me, the customer; and how well and throughly they take care of my claim.

I use Allstate. I like the personal service I get when I visit my agent's office. I've had one claim since I've owned my house and it was taken care of in a professional, prompt manner.
