I have lived in Nebraska all my life, Went from the sticks in hastings, Ne. To getting out of there asap after school. And landing in Omaha Ne Which sucks The state closes at 1 am. Which is fine I guess But thins inner city living is testing my parenting skills with two- teenaged girls
And not to mentiond a 20 month old baby girl . I have one sister who has moved to acworth Ga 9 years ago. I guess it's my turn.....Scared, and excited all at once. I am moving with the help of section 8. My issues are with not wanting to get a ghetto fab neighborhood.. And at the same time location... to high schools the girls a job.....got keep em busy! Can a sista send me reassurance on the whole idea of being a georgia resident in 3 weeks. |

The suburban areas do not encourage section 8 (those that even accept it - many won't), and you'll find the areas that do will give you areas to pick from that are pretty bad to very bad. I also do not think that Acworth atmosphere in general is necessarily accepting of as you put it "sistas" if I'm understanding the grammar correctly.
Acworth is generally a more rural area pretty far out of Atlanta proper, mostly white, with a growing Hispanic population in the outer edges. It's one of those "closes at 5pm" type of places as well. It's pretty spread out, and there is no public transit. This is where you want to go? |
