Those are all good neighbourhoods. The only place to avoid is a small section of Franklin Road in Marietta (hopefully they will condem and demolish it soon).

I went to Smitha and Osborne. Smitha was good in terms of education, and was a nice community (a bit strict, though). I've heard it isn't the same since I left (2001-2002).

Osborne... improving in areas, but still needs work. I wouldn't send my kid (assuming I'd ever have any) there right now. I graduated in 2006 and now go to GT.

The part of Marietta South of Marietta Parkway and South of Powder Springs Street is yucky (except along Atlanta Road), but not too much in there is what I'd consider unsafe -- just low income. It's a patchwork in there. There are some nicer neighborhoods and then some high-density low income housing neighborhoods mixed in. As you get closer to Whitlock and Roswell Rd in the North and closer to the E-W connector in the West, Marietta starts to get nicer.

To simplify -- just stay North of the airforce base or otherwise you'll want to be East of 75.

I think Netdragon was referring to Marietta specifically, not Cobb County in general.

Kennesaw isn't too bad. Just far away from downtown and all hype clubs. I heard Visions 2 is coming out soon!
