I'm new to Smyrna and am looking for a vet for my cats. Does anyone have recommendations. I'd like to know clinics but also vets within clinics. Also, I need someone who deals well with people as well as animals. (I probably could go to Marietta as well)
Thanks! |

Arkle on Concord Road is awesome! Dr Levinson is great and so is the staff. She only sees dogs and cats... I have nothing but praise for their personal attention and care they give my dog.

I'm a big fan of Paces Ferry Veterinary, which is located behind that Starbucks in Vinings Jubilee. We have actually since moved to D'woody and still take our dog there because we really liked the personal attention and the care they took with our dog.

Thanks for your recommendations. Have either of you heard anything about Cumberland Animal Clinic? A friend of a friend recommended them, but my interaction with the staff has left a lot to be desired.

Spacelord --
I just made an appointment at Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic. After your recommendation, I visited their website. They have a vet who specializes in feline care (Dr Cary) which I like. Let's face it -- cats are horrid patients and it's better if they are treated by vets that like cats in spite of their personalities! Also, they talk about geriatric care for animals and how they try to keep it affordable (to encourage people to get the check-ups). I have three senior citizen cats, all with health conditions, so it can get pricey! I'm sure it will still be expensive, but I'm just glad to know they are dedicated to geriatric care. So...thanks! |

No problem - we just took our pup there Saturday for her annual checkup. I think you will like them!
