If I remember correctly, this is in the Northlake area, right off 285, like 30 yards away. I drive by the complex pretty often. The area is a good one, with access to a mall, lots of restaurants, entertainment, and quite a few office complexes (including AT&T). A friend of mine lived near there years ago in another apartment complex and told me there were more than a few break-ins and a number of rapes. I even vaguely remember hearing about The Ava years ago (before it was Ava), where a woman was sexually assaulted in the parking garage. This place has a parking garage, correct?

Anyway, I'm not sure if the crime has gotten better in that area or not, but I know even then it was low key and is not considered a high-crime area by any means. Those incidents were interesting though. If I were a female and moving there alone, I would be more investigative of the place, otherwise I think it's a good area, just from experience. I worked near there at AT&T years ago, I live in Tucker now (7 years), and my wife works within walking distance (less than a mile) of The Ava. I considered moving there a year or two ago.
