Default Marietta Subdividisons that are middle class and safe...

I had checked out Kennesaw and I was not too happy with the finding on the school front, too many free lunches...low scores and etc..so i am now checking into Marietta now...I want a nice safe low crime apt community that has very good schools, can pay up to bout 1500 or a litle more a month, I want a very good school and will even sell a car if i have too! THANKS!

sahm3 is on a distinguished road
well I don't know what school you checked (I can think of some)but there are definitly great schools in kennesaw! Check out the west cobb area for starters.. Ford, vaughn, Bullard and Due west are EXCELLENT schools.. both elementary all the way up to high school.
However if you are looking for an apartment you most likely will not find a great school district for that reason alone , most good school districts do not have apartment feeders into their zones.. Rental houses yes, but not apartments.

Probably looked at North Cobb HS area.

You need to go North or West of 41/North Cobb High School.

Marietta is the same, it all depends on where in Marietta.

The only unsafe part of Marietta is Franklin Road. Most everything else is good.

i found a middle school (Mabry) and a high school ( Lassiter) and a few rental homes..forget the name of the elem school, but my child only has a half year to go and then she will be in the sixth grade...I also found alot of home rentals in the 1250-1600 range, and I am hoping they are in safe areas, they look nice, but that does not always mean that they are!

I lived in that school district when my son was in school. I never had any problems with the schools and my son was happy going to them. When his dad moved down here I found him a rental house in Jamerson Forest S/D because it was close by and there were very reasonable rentals in there. I found a small 3 BR ranch for $850 mo. for him to rent.
One thing you may have to do is drive through some S/Ds to find one because most landlords in that area know that they don't have to spend money advertising. They can just stick a For Rent sign on the lawn and someone will drive by and rent it.

Are you sure you were looking at the correct Kennesaw? That area has become fairly upscale over the last few years (especially Harrison district).
