They belong in the suburbs where most of their patrons live. In intown areas they tend to be a blight on the neighborhoods (e.g., Cheshire Bridge).

The exception is the Cheetah, which caters to the convention trade and is located in a commercial zone.

Got ya.

I do think there is room for another "upscale" club like the cheetah downtown.

Everybody, my prior self included, states how great Atlanta strip clubs are. But honestly, I never really understood the hype. Houston had WAY BETTER gentlemen's clubs than Atlanta any day. And I rarely say anything nice about that town.

You can read in depth reports on those places online. You just have to find it.

FIB is not for me.

I thought they could not get naked and serve alcohol at the same time?

You know what, you are right. They had to wear some sort of clear latex stuff. But it was barely noticeable.

The buildings are way nicer, women are way hotter, and it just seems more friendly.

Strip clubs tend to be 100% autocentric, which is another reason they are best suited to the suburbs. Conventioneers might take a cab or bus but most patrons drive.

However, if downtown residents and businesses want a major strip club, they have the infrastructure to make it work as a bike/transit/pedestrian facility. Some place within or adjacent to the MMPT might work like a charm. A first rate club could really bring new life to south downtown.

BTW, strip clubs in Atlanta bring in more money annually to our city than our 3 professional sports teams combined
Ive only been to Magic City and that was because I had visitors in town. It was ok, went on a friday night. My visitors wanted to do that "make it rain" thing. I advised them not to lol. All the girls were already naked so there was really no point throwing money when we paid 20 to get in. Atlanta sure does have a lot of strip clubs though.
