Question HELP! Computer Skill Test for Educators...
Has anyone taken the assessonline exam or the new computer competency exam by GACE? It's the exam that you take to meet the GA PSC requirements for computer competency. I'm a social worker from NYC that needs to meet this requirement for my license.

Does it include a section that requires you to know how to integrate technology into the classroom? How should I best prepare for the exam? I'm computer literate and know how to use various softwares. My only challenge would be the integration of tech in the classroom.

I took the test and they wanted you to show that you can put information in excel, use search engines, open and send email, and other simple stuff like that. It was pretty easy if you use computers on a day to day basis.

Yea, it was pretty easy to pass. If you have any sense of computer literacy, it is easy.

I guess I'll take the assessonline, instead of the new exam that GACE is offering. Thank you all for your guidance on this.
