Whites are not jealous of blacks having money, the more blacks with money the better behaved most are. Alright! I have finally read though this entire thread. Some people get it and some are totally out of touch. May be based on Race, Age & Gender. The OP was talking about Thugs and the problems they create. Through out the thread I seen the mention of BET, Rich Pastors, Homeless people, Racism, The Mob....Lets get to the root!

Families of thugs are dysfunctional. Bad people come from bad families. A bad family can have many characteristics. Some posters were making the comparison of ATL and West Virginia and such. Basically what they were saying is WV creates GOOD families, being rich or poor has nothing to do with having a good or bad family. If you are a woman, and you give birth to many children with many different fathers you are creating a bad family, that will cause and create confusion. I don't care how strong you THINK you are, you are still creating a bad family. Marriage has little value in the homes where thugs come from. Why do more Whites marry than Blacks? Every human beings first influence is the PARENTS...not tv, not peers, not drugs, but the damn PARENTS. If one parent(father) is gone then women have to do better by not creating anymore fatherless children. Stirring one fatherless child away from being a thug is a lot easier than stirring 4 children away from the same ignorance. MEN WILL ALWAYS WANT SEX!!! We are wired that way. It is up to women to not give in to low quality men. Now this is not a post to say women in the hood are ones at fault, but something is wrong. And again White dudes want sex just as bad as black dudes want it. How is it the white chicks are getting husbands and kids from the same man, and the black women are not? Black people have to try harder to make better decisions. Laziness is a major problem, that someone did mention and was flamed for it. I know so many black women that have kids from a bunch of different dudes and they have no remorse for it. Its like they don't even care. They have this "oh Well" attitude. This is carelessness. Even during the slavery time blacks created the proper family...in the 60s as well, What the hell happened? If this problem can get fixed it will create less thugs, raise the value of family & make things a lot better for the black community be apart of the mainstream community. Again so many on this topic do not know the root of this thug problem. The Family that the thug comes from is the ROOT.

I completely agree with atlanatagreg's post. I am from a small city up north (70,000)-I lived in a very blue collar neighborhood (very)-my parents still live there. The people in this neighborhood are factory workers, janitors, and nursing assistants. Some don't have cars-they take the bus to work. I never feel unsafe in this neighborhood-never. In fact I make more money than I could have ever imagined and feel unsafe here in Atlanta. My husband will always say that the people in my hometown are proud people-they want to work and are not too good to clean floors, etc to make an honest living. They also would never, ever think about stealing from anyone because they were lacking. It is a completely different mentality. Living in Atlanta has opened my eyes to a very sad group of people-ones that keep having babies, want the system to take care of them, fathers that don't take responsibility for all of the kids they father (just keep spreading their seed), women who tolerate these pathetic men, people who want a nice cars, houses, clothing, etc but don't want to work for it, young boys and men that steal from others (home invasions etc)-i can go on and on. These people have no pride-the homeless in Atlanta is the least of our problems. The homeless usually have a mental health issue and this is why they find themeselves homeless. The others just don't want to get off their butts and do anything-they don't even appreciate a free edcuation-I have no idea why-the problems just get worse and worse and will continue to do so.

This post is Stupid not matter what type of family you come from , No matter how you were raised you are going to choose to do what ever it is that you wanna do . We as humans choose our own destiny. I have seen people come from bad homes and they turn out to be very successful and i have seen people come out of good homes and become criminals. At the end of the day its your own choice to live your life as good citizen or live your life as a bad citizen.THESE ARE ALL CHOICES

Criminals usually have good, law-abiding parents. Decent, hardworking successful people often come from poverty. Intelligent, involved parents sometimes produce high school dropouts.

Many times it doesn't matter how attentive and loving a parent is to a child, the child still turns out completely useless. Excellent parents and a nurturing home environment certainly don't guarantee excellent children. Sorry parents often raise excellent children. A lot of it simply depends on the mentality of the child.

The extremely elementary approach you take here requires me to at least make a comment.....that it is true that you choose your own destiny and you (and I) have seen people overcome adversity and bad parenting or bad homes does not exalt all human beings from being influenced by decades of poor examples.

It is a nice out to say that everyone has choices. What if the choice you should be making to further yourself is one you don't know exists? Believe me, I am as individualist as they come politically, but I am pointing out to you that upbringing is so very important in forming the minds for which a rational choice with basis can be made.
