Can anyone help by sharing info on the lesbain-friendly areas of Atlanta? HAve heard Decatur is good, but what parts? Are Kirkwood / Grant Park / Inman safe? I am relocating from Boston and am interested in somewhere inside the perimiter where a lesbian couple can buy a house for around $350,000 and feel safe / welcome. Friendly neighborhood community and ability to walk to shops, etc would be ideal. THANKS

Inman Park, Morningside, Virginia Highlands, Midtown -- all gay and lesbian friendly.

I highly recommend contacting Zac Pasmaniac as a realtor. His website is Atlanta, Decatur and Buckhead Georgia real estate listings, home buying, selling and relocation information - NUMBER1EXPERT(tm). he is extremely knowledgeable about all of these areas and will be able to guide you with specifics to find a house in this range in a gay and lesbian friendly community.

dont know that area. money does not factor in bigtime however as to life style, but helps.
as a rule people are much more accepting of gay female than gay male.
also low profile works much better outside san francisco than militant.
have a great veterans day.

They call Decatur "d!@k-hater" for a reason. Start your search from downtown Decatur (the square) out, until you stop feeling safe. Your budget is a little tight for a single-family detached house.

You won't find much in Decatur anymore for $350K. However, Eastlake, Kirkwood and East Atlanta are very close by and have diverse, welcoming communities much like Decatur. Kirkwood and East Atlanta Village have very cool commercial nodes.
