Good question. I thought Mecca is in Saudi Arabia.... But I suppose folks flock there, and that's what is meant by "Black Mecca." I think since it first became known as the City to Busy to Hate, Atlanta has been a safe and welcoming place for racial minorities, the African- American populace particularly. Given our rich civil rights history, I think it's not a bad term at all.

The only way that this is a serious question is if you've never heard of Tyler Perry, Crunk/Trap music or black southern history.
