I read some of the remarks made by some of you and they're as if Atlanta is some small town with absolutely nothing to offer in terms of fun, culture and opportunity.

Any city with 3 major sports teams and a major airport is on the radar and is far from being "small time". Not that this is the only thing in Atlanta.

Thank goodness some of us can weed through the "mess" on CD and find the good stuff. Some of the remarks make Atlanta sound as if it's stuck in the stone age and behind the times.

The people saying that are stuck in the stone age themselves, or just live so far from the action that they have no idea what it's like here. Sad, really, but more Atlanta for us!

Ok atlantagreg, this thread should also fit the description of "Variations of this topic have been discussed before."

Why can't some people in the Atlanta forum accept valid criticism of a city that many of them don't even live in? Saying Atlanta needs to work on some things isn't the same as calling it a backwater.

Why complain if they do not live here? Is Atlanta on their mind that much? I hate stuff about a lot of cities but I do not go to their forum and complain because I have better stuff to do with my time and I do not really care enough about that city. They could be watching football, playing video games, reading, traveling, taking their kid to the playground, etc but they still chose to come into the Atlanta forum out of the hundreds of forums on this site. Personally I think it is beautiful that people would rather come in the Atlanta forum verses spending that time with their parents or kids.

Why is Atlanta singled out about taking valid criticism? Atlanta can't reply to criticism but if someone went into another city forum and complained it would be ok to criticism that individual. Atlanta can't talk about Charlotte in this forum but it is ok to talk about Atlanta lol. Please

Not sure how "fun, culture and opportunity" relate to "3 major sports teams and a major airport", unless you are a pilot or a pro sportsman?

Atlanta is stuck in the stone age mostly because nobody wants to live here except low income folks and disabled of all sorts due to horrid climate, weird ignorant southern attitude and long distance from any real cultural centers like DC or NYC.

Honestly, I hope for your sake you are not serious. Because it makes you look like a most ignorant person.
