Default Acquiring employment with Turner Broadcasting

Hello I attended The Art Institute of Atlanta majoring in Media Arts and Animation and I've tried for years to gain employment with Turner Broadcasting. I talked to a recruiter that came to our school (she also met 1000+ other students) to no avail. Just wondering does anyone have any advice as far as at least getting an interview? Thanks.

It's hard to get into Turner. The best way to get in is to meet people that work there and have them lobby for you whenever a position comes available. How do you meet these people? Join groups in the area - I'm sure there are user groups for the animation software you use. Volunteer on local productions; chances are good someone who has ties to Turner will be working on them as well. Network, network, network. It's a big company, so use any leads you've got to meet people there. I got in through an internship (no longer there, btw), so if you're still in school, try to get an internship because it's the best way to make connections within the company. This is pretty much true for any production company in the USA. Unfortunately, very few people get hired just by sending in a resume.
