Not if it is going to "over look Centennial Olympic Park" as the article states. Then again, the author of the article might be using the real estate version of poetic license in describing the location.

Edit: According to a post on SkyscraperPage, the hotel will be on the same block as the Hilton Garden Inn, so this is another hotel in addition to the one at Ivan Allen & Luckie. They also have a rather bare rendering in the post.

According to other reading on this hotel, it's not a tourist hotel, it's an extended stay hotel. Extended stay hotels are generally regarded as blight. I realize there is a need for such places, but I see this as a step backwards for the Centennial Park area. I hope I'm wrong about this.

Like I said, I hope I'm wrong, but what happens ten years from now when the shine has worn off?

That is a very ugly building that will not age well.

I drive by this building everyday on the way to work. Those metal screens shielding the parking garage already look like crap. I guess you can't expect much for a lot adjacent to the interstate, though.
