Hi all,
I'm looking for several printers of different brands/models. Can't afford to buy new, prefer not-working units.

Tried goodwill but they told me that all the printer donated to them will be shipped, no retailing. Tried some thrift stores nearby but they usually don't carry too many used printers.

I just wonder if anyone happens to know a thrift store, or donation center, that has a lot of cheap used printers for sale?

Thank you all.

Ginstar, GIM, (both in West Midtown) Greene's (Cascade Rd) used to carry used/refurbbed printers. Not sure how many you need but you may want to call them and see what they have. I haven't been to these places in a couple years but we always got our pc's and peripherals for cheap.

Thrift Store – Furkids

They don't specialize in printers, but worth checking to see if they have any.

I recently gave a new out of the box printer away - it had sat in my closet for several years. One thing to keep in mind is that most older printers cannot be upgraded to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

There is not a driver available to download. So basically the printer I gave away was useless and I have 2 printers in my house that are close to being useless. I was planning to run out the existing cartridges and then upgrade to a wireless anyway.

But I had originally planned on donating them since the still work but unless you are still running Windows XP (I have one old computer which is the only one I can print from), you will be forced to buy something more recent.

I have one that I'm ready to sell on craigslist. It has a scanner on it. You interested? It's in my basement. I can go down and take a pic and make/model if you want. Just pm me your email address if you want and I'll send you the pics/info.

There is an electronics recycling event the first Saturday of every month in the parking lot of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church. I am not sure if they would be allowed to give you their stuff, but you could definitely ask people as they were on their way to drop off, if you could have it.

Thank you. I called the computer store, they don't have the stuff I need.
