I don’t have that specific statistic, but I can tell you that between the years of 1976 to 2005, 86% of white victims killed in the United States were killed by whites. This statistic is from the Bureau of Justice Statistics.

I am also just a little confused. Where did you get the statistic that black men are targeting, raping, and killing white women every where. I heard about a young college student recently (and I think that it is a damn shame and very senseless, and I hope that he is punished). However, you very full of your self to actually think that all black men want to go to jail just to get a taste of you…you are sadly mistaken.

If you really want to know the facts, most of black men that are in jail are there because of DRUGS (dealing, killing, etc.) not because they are raping and killing white women.

If I felt like being ignorant today I would let you know why that particular question was naïve and ignorant (historically speaking)…but I don’t want to offend any one.

Do I keep my eye on that black man walking down the side walk toward me? You bet I do. He may be another one who hates white people and would like to take it out on a white person who is physically weaker than him.

Where are you getting your information. Seriously. Why aren’t you afraid of white/asian/etc. men who target and prey on women? Like another poster mentioned after your original post, if you look at the national registry for sex offenders, the vast majority of those men are white. You sound like the type of person that would refuse to get on a plane because someone of middle eastern decent is sitting next to you.

And if a black person attacks you for being white, then they are ignorant too. Don’t get me wrong, I do know plenty of racist black people, but none of them are violent or dumb enough to randomly attack anyone (regardless of color). If someone his violent and dangerous they will attack anyone (regardless of race). Black criminals don’t spare other black people just because they are black.

But statements like yours above is what makes “some” black people become racist. I don’t know how many professional college educated black men have been profiled as criminals (like you are doing above). You are basically saying above that a man that is college educated, dressed in a business (or even business casual), clean-cut, and has never been arrested LOOKS exactly like a common thug to you JUST because he has more melanin in his skin than you. It is a damn shame when a man can do everything to fight a stereotype that society has of them (graduate from college, dress nicely, clean cut, etc.) and all you see is a criminal at heart.

Note: While statements like yours maybe induce racism in “some” blacks, I would still call a black person ignorant for being racist (because not all white/asian/ Hispanic/etc. are alike). One person’s actions are not justification for painting an entire race with the same brush (regardless of race).

ok so i have been reading what you all are talking about and I would like to add my input.
I am not from GA but I would someday like to move to Fort Valley. I know everyone on here would like to make their point and you have but, after reading all this, its kinda like you are going back and forth about nothing. I am white and i am very proud to be white, but you are pointing out things that dont really matter in the end. Like ok lets say some big black guy comes and rapes some white girl. Well what happends when a big white guy rapes some black girl? Is it still the same? I live in Indianapolis,IN I work with blacks and i went to school with blacks. I have noticed that being in school and working with blacks is totally different. When i was in school it was all about what side of town you are from..they always faught, but they weren't nice. They all had an attitude. So why should i be nice to people who dont want to be nice to me. I am a pretty nice person all the way around. I haven't done anything to anyone to make them not like me. So when I did get into a fight with a black girl it was bcause she didnt want to give me room in the hallway so i bumped into her. Thats stupid. But at work, working with older people, they dont act that way. Yea there are a few but i dont talk to them. Its just stupid because we both are trying to prove a point that can't be proven. No one is better than anyone.
---Adding this----Would Fort Valley be a bad place to live? There is a plantation house there i want to rebuild and live in. Would i get bothered?

Atlanta can hide and pretend everything is alright because it has so much. Anyone can play like things are alright when the economics are good, but when things get bad, then there are problems.

Atlanta is not as segregated as Detroit. The suburbs of Detroit have a much smaller black percentage, and the city proper of Atlanta has a much higher white percentage.

The things written on those sheets...you wouldn't expect to hear from teachers who teach kids of all races. It really made me aware of what others think.

Have you ever tried to teach a classroom full of black kids? If not, you really don't know what they're up against.

Also, the black/white dating issue is less of an issue in other U.S. cities...NYC, LA, Phoenix, Miami, etc.--and definitely less of an issue internationally!

I don't know very many fellow white males who have the desire to date a black female, or let alone a non-white female. I'm sure there's a couple, however.

As a black male I personally welcome your truthfulness of how you feel.Dialogue is the only way to find solutions.As long as you are least willing to listen and consider others opinions in a logical manner, then somewhere in the middle we can meet.The fact that you can admit emotions played a role in your own previous statements were more out of frustration than your your actual true beliefs. I suppose on some level what i say about humans is true,we are guided by circumstances and we react by what we do and say led by our emotions.
