OK, I ran it back on my DVR three times and there was NO "Georgia Media" peach logo at the end of "The Walking Dead" credits last night? I wonder if they are forgoing the extra 10 percent tax credit for that this season? Or ... ? Any ideas? That's like the EASIEST part of the tax cred to qualify for! LOL!
Another thing that was kinda neat from this episode, was the dialogue between Rick and the crazy lady in the woods about the sculptures at Hartsfield-Jackson IA. Only Atlanta people (or frequent airport travelers) would know that those are REAL sculptures they were talking about! Rick's favorite was the one of kids playing leap-frog.
Also, when Michonne was talking about taking a ride "over to Macon" somebody mentioned that it would be dangerous because it's 70 miles away. It is, indeed, about 70 miles from Senoia (Woodbury) to Macon.
I think it's really cool that the writers give little nods to Georgia like that! This ls the most popular show on television right now -- ALL television, both broadcast and basic cable. The amount of publicity Georgia is getting from "The Walking Dead" can't be quantified in dollars; that's why I'm curious why the peach logo was missing from Sunday's episode.
I hope they don't plan on moving filming elsewhere... BUT, I do know someone who is trying to get a roll as an extra on TWD and the filming location is supposed to be in Japan... That person is in Japan

As a frequent air traveler, I couldn't help but smile when she mentioned the sculptures at HJI. I know exactly where they're at too. Right between Concourse T and A just below the elevators.
I also remember Macon being mentioned. I did notice that when Michonne picked up the map of Georgia towards the end of the episode, but she ended up focusing in on Macon COUNTY and not the city of Macon (which lies within Bibb as you know)... I guess the point was made though.

The gig in Japan is only for a Japanese promo ad for season 4. They're filming it in Tokyo I believe.
That said, eventually the gang picks up and moves to Virginia in the comic series. It remains to be seen what they'll do for the television show. Parts of GA could easily double as Virginia but who knows. The producers might want to go for the real thing. Or the show could go in a different direction entirely.
