"Sprinkles Cupcakes plans to occupy a new spot at the front door of Lenox Square, the upscale Buckhead mall. Sprinkles wants to take space beside the mall’s main entrance on Peachtree, where the Lenox Square facade is getting its first big makeover in years.

For those seeking that after-hour sugar fix, Sprinkles plans to have a 24/7 cupcake ATM..."

Are their cupcakes any good? I think I saw some of their mixes as Williams-Sonoma. Are there any existing bakeries here that are better?

I haven't had any personally, but I hear they taste very good. A little pricey for me, but some say they are worth it.

I'll stick to buying from the Publix bakery.

I'd love to visit a cupcake ATM.

And people claim we are not a 24 hour city.

OK, there are cupcake emporiums on, like, every corner here in Savannah. It's ridic-urless! Cupcakes are like the new frozen yogurt and cafe lattes. This is a FAD that will surely pass quickly ... once people realize that for the price of ONE cupcake, you can buy half a cake at Kroger or Publix!

It's an ultra fad, but the smaller portion is actually a plus to a lot of their market. And because it's a fad, being seen in public eating a cupcake from an expensive chain isn't considered odd, while eating a cake you got a Publix would be. But mostly I'm just looking forward to one of our local concern trolls opining on the safety of a 24-hour cupcake ATM.

Cupcake places are everywhere here too. I've never caught on to the cupcake craze. I guess I just don't get it. The frozen yogurt places are everywhere too, but I go to those. I love the flavored frozen yogurts. Never been to a cupcake place.

I guess it's pretty popular since they are going to open a 24-hour cupcake/ATM.
