Pretty funny.

You know Alpharetta is in Fulton County, right? That would be worse.

lol @ this disclaimer

Note: This is a thread about the ballpark itself--not the merits of the new stadium, transportation and traffic issues, how it will be paid for, etc. Neither does this concern the immediate surroundings, but the ballpark itself.)

A pitchers ballpark. (the steroids will have less affect ).

Seriously tho, a park that has the state of Georgia in mind. The Braves might be a "regional" team and some may say that they are "Atlanta's" team, but they are Georgia's first professional sports team. That being said, I hope the new stadium has a "southern" theme, as well as state of the art. Kinda like the "New South" in your face with a gracious southern touch. Antebellum columns supporting modern-type structures. (take Tara, and infuse the High museum with it)

Family oriented a must! Plenty of things for the kids to do. Maybe a little league meets state fair type arcade around the stands with baseball themed activities.

Also, some bars with seats overlooking the game for the adults. A hotel attached for tourists where the rooms have views to the field would be cool.

Restaurants and pubs around the park to hang out at before and after the game.

I would love to see a pedestrian bridge, lighted to the hilt, spanning 285 and connecting the Galleria to the park. Pedestrian traffic in and out and around a must.

and like other posters.... A World Series Title!!

People complained about walking 1 mile from GA state station to Turner Field, what makes you think people will walk from Galleria to the proposed site? Its still 1 mile and they still have to cross a wide freeway.
