Default Kennesaw/Acworth Area

Hi, I am currently looking at a house on the border of Acworth and Kennesaw, and was wondering if anyone can give me any info regarding jobs in the area as well as my major issue...bugs. When I say bugs I don't mean ants, beetles and roaches, because I know those could be controlled by exterminating regularly. I mean things like scorpions and spiders, how big are these things and would they still be in the house if I exterminate on a regular basis? The house I am looking at is in a subdivision and is on a slab, I think there is only a small tree in the yard, I am not sure if any of that makes a difference. I met someone while I was there 2 weeks ago who mentioned that he has found huge spiders in his house and it freaked me out because I don't particularly like even small spiders! I would really appreciate any info a whole lot!!!!

I lived in Kennesaw whan I first moved here and I didn't have any particular problem with spiders. Now, those gigantic roaches... that's another story. Regular exterminating should keep you relatively bug free so I wouldn't let that stand in the way of buying the house you like.
By the way, check out the gun law in Kennesaw (if its still on the books) When I moved down here there was a law in Kennesaw that you must own a gun if you live there. I was happy to comply. I wouldn't advise anything larger than a .22 for those roaches though. Anything more is just over-kill!

Silver02, Good Morning, AS NorthmeetsSouth said you shouldn't let the fear of spiders stand in your way of a home purchase. I saw a recent disovery channel program that said no matter where you live you are never more than six feet away from a spider. As far as scorpians go I have lived in Acworth close to 20 years and only ever seen two, those were both in my garage, just tiny little ones. We found them after coming home from a two week vacation. Some one told me they remain out of site as long as they feel vibrations in the house. Hope this help ease your fears. Have a great Holiday.
