Can anybody tell me about this development? We are considering a home out there but are not familiar with the area. Please educate me! We will not have to drive to jobs so that is not a consideration.Thanks in advance!

The neighborhood that you are asking about is in kind of a hilly area with lots trees, extremely low crime (crime is not really an issue) and good schools in the attendance zone/feeder zone for North Paulding High School (the first website says that the area is zoned partially for North Paulding HS and partially for East Paulding HS, but the Paulding County Schools website says that area is zoned for North Paulding HS).
The nearest shopping amenities are:
...About 8-10 miles away in the form of a major shopping district along US 41 North Cobb Parkway in Acworth...
...About 13 miles away in the form of a major shopping district along US 278/GA 6 in Hiram, and...
...About 12 miles away in the form of a minor commercial district along old GA 6 (GA 6 Business Route) Merchants Drive in Dallas.

I have just read about the waste transfer site nearby. Can someone tell me what this is and how it effects the neighborhood. Smell? Trucks going by? A little concerned now. Should I be?

Second Atlanta Commercial Airport coming to Paulding
TLDR: plans are afoot to expand the airport in northeast Paulding County to accomodate 737s in hopes of drumming up more business in the area, however progress on those plans seems to have been stymied by local opposition...for now.
