Exactly. I don't see how the malls aren't connected somehow. Look at Galleria in Houston. You've got Phipps style shopping and Lenox style in one huge bldg. Even if both are not connected maybe they can build some outdoor shopping in the parking lots and some sort of walkway to Phipps... But then again Phipps may not want the riff/raff Lenox attracts.....

I can't be the only one that thinks the renovations are just tacky? I love the look of the mall now - very tasteful and elegant.

Does that mean they gonna move the restaurants to somewhere else? It does look cleaner.

I'd like to see the road in front of Phipps removed and a more inviting pedestrian plaza with seating installed. It's a pain trying to cross the street and having a cross street that close to the Peachtree intersections are a nightmare.

There was some talk of a connecting tunnel some years ago. I personally think it's a good idea. I used to white-knuckle that intersection on a regular basis. I think it took ten years off of my life.

I think a tunnel would be a lot more feasible if (when) Lenox redevelops its parking lots on Peachtree, especially the on the NE corner.

Nice Tesla Model X in that render

Model X | Tesla Motors

Edit: Agree about tunnel between the two malls. Makes a lot of sense!

Don't need to take away people from the streets and kill street activity. A cheaper and more efficient plan is a pedestrian scramble.

Looks good. I hope during the renovations the pedestrian connections with Peachtree are improved.

My understand is that Simon is essentially pushing Twist out. Because the owner is transferring Twist to his wife because of his divorce settlement. Simon is saying that this a violation of their lease. From what I hear, Simon is just trying to push out Twist because of the demographic they attract.
