Good Afternoon All,

My family and I are currently living in Phoenix, AZ and are looking to relocate to the Suwanee / Sugar Hill / Buford area. I grew up west of Atlanta and still hold on to my southern roots. You can take the Southerner out of the South but you can't take the South out of the Southerner! My wife, being a mid-westerner most of her life (Wisconsin Brrrr), took a one week trip with me last year to GA to see family and to have a little R&R. While there she fell in love with what GA is and ever since she's talked non-stop about moving there. I personally have no qualms about the idea..in fact all my kids are ready for the move and they haven't even visited yet! Is that a testament to the encouragement we speak to our kids about how great GA is or are they just really disliking Phoenix? Who knows. Here's the thing....before I can start the steps needed to get us moved I need to find employment. I'm an I.T. guy and have been for about 20 years. I'm looking to start a dialogue with some recruiters...not to necessarily find work (although I have family there that's offered to let me move in if I wanted to start working) but to really start a relationship with so when that time does come I can tell that person, "It's ON!" Are there any recommendations?? I sincerely appreciate your input.

Charles

Thank you for responding. I have 20 years working in I.T. in various roles. I'm a man of many hats and multiple responsibilities. Having been at the Help Desk role I've moved up through Desktop Support, Network Administration, even Network Engineering and Project Management. I've recently been referred to as an Infrastructure Engineer which equates in general terms to a Tier 2 / Tier 3 Desktop Support role. In that position my employer's allowed me the freedom to integrate with other departments utilizing the skills I have working with Cisco Call Manager and Unity and various duties within Network Administration including the creation/editing of AD user accounts and groups and the setting up of network printers. I work quite a bit with SCCM 2007 and 2012 and even dabble in the creating of application packages within SCCM. As of a few weeks ago I was promoted to Service Manager of Enterprise Operations. Again to equate that to general I.T. terms...I'm the Desktop Support Manager. My promotion was prompted following my involvement in several I.T. projects in which I was a key figure of contact. I also provided direct instruction to the completion of those projects. I've listed a link to my linkedin profile below if interested. Thanks to all.
