All of the neighborhoods in Alpharetta are centered around lakes and have million dollar homes.

Two days ago I had to go to Smyrna from Sandy Springs during evening rush hour and decided to take the back way which put me on Heards Ferry Rd, the first time I'd ever driven that stretch that I can remember. My jaw dropped, LOL.

The other areas being mentioned in this thread are in the suburbs, I would expect something like this in the suburbs or in the country. But Wesley Moores Mill area is like an oasis in the center of the city. And when you come to the end of W Wesley onto Peachtree rd into the center of Buckhead, just wow.

Nope not all 1 mil plus. The wooded areas/neighborhoods is one of the things that I love most about living in Buckhead. It really is a very picturesque place. I also love the Margaret Mitchell area, the Paces area going into Vinings and the area off Blackland.

I took this picture walking home one time. I wouldn't say it's the most beautiful place, but I love jogging here.

Lovely, those are lovely areas (no pun intended). We are very blessed, particularly at this time of year, with some of the most beautiful neighborhoods one could ever wish for.

Hello AP,

Right. It is a great combination of natural beauty and a close-in location. Best of both worlds. I have often thought that combination to be one of the things that really makes Buckhead real estate as valuable as it is. I was admiring Ansley Park last week, by the way. The Prado is to die for. What a beautiful boulevard-ish street.
