Actually, I can see one of them from my window, so I don't even have to leave the house.

I agree the beard thing has gone a bit too far, but who am I (or anyone else) to say how others should dress or groom themselves?
I'm not implying you or I should tell someone how to dress, unless, of course, they are our children!

I think it is an idea that is fairly unique to Atlanta (at least on its scale) and I do enjoy looking at the murals rather than graffitti-covered walls. My kids are working on a school project for their cousin in Chicago where he sent them a small replica of himself and they take him around town and take pictures of all the places he's visited, a la the Flat Stanley stories. We included a number of pictures of him visiting Living Walls sites.

Falling in Love with Atlanta
Living Walls and Twitter #weloveatl won't do it for me.

My DH did this for one of his nieces year s ago. We took Stanley to the Carter Center, Underground, the King Memorial, Zoo Atlanta and I cant remember where else. We took a photo of the city from the top of the Garson Deck at the Lindbergh MARTA station. It turned out to be a good time.

Inferior to what exactly?Don't understand fill-in-the-blank.

You're really good at letting us know what you don't like. So, what DO you like?

I happen to think that people being mindful of what they like about their city, then photographing and sharing it with others is quite nice. It's a very positive thing to do. (Even if those god damned hipsters are involved. )

I admit that Savannah looks great. Even has a riverfront.

That's true for a lot of cities in the country. Nothing special about Atlanta.
