Hi everyone,

I am taking the plunge and relocating from DC to Atlanta(Yay!) I am interested in getting suggestions for neighborhoods/area that would be good for s single professional woman in her thirties? I would like to pay between $900-1200/per month in rent and live in an area that is walkable to things that I need; grocery store, dry cleaners, gym, etc. I will be working downtown.

Thank you in advance.

Midtown sounds perfect for you. Have a walk around and see what you think.

O4W - you will be able to walk to work
Lindbergh Center- you can take MARTA to work
Atlantic Station - You might be able to get a one bedroom there
Dunwoody - Take MARTA to work. Smaller version of Tysons Corner

For that price, you will hard pressed to find something in Midtown. With the average rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in Atlanta now at $1300, you may consider finding a roommate and moving into a newer complex or renting in an older complex.
