Smile Best Holiday / Christmas Lights Display in Atlanta

Hi, everyone, I love Christmas and I love the holiday light-show by creative home-owners. Can you please suggest me the best holiday lights in Atlanta? I am not specifically looking for commercial displays like Lake Lanier, Stone Mt. or Centennial Olympic Park but holiday light displays by home-owners and neighborhoods.

Life College in Marietta has a beautiful display of lights. It's right off of Cobb Parkway near Dobbins AFB. Worth the trip. I think they charge $5/car.

The City of Smyrna has a rather pretty Christmas light display in the Smyrna Village Green, and if you open the car windows you can also enjoy some nice Christmas music.

Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Conyers has a light display set to music, like the Miller Lite Christmas commercial. Its free and runs for 15 minutes or so every night on the hour and half hour from 6 to 9 p.m. It runs through the 28th, I think. We saw it last week and loved it.

Default House in Brookhaven 30319

I saw a pretty entertaining light show on Logan Circle just off Briarwood. They've synchonized the lights to music like in the Miller Light commercial and broadcast on an FM station. It's really cool!

I work at Peachtree Center and saw a really nice tree there -- probably 30 feet high.

Default gwinnett county in lawrenceville/snellville area

If you come up Webb Gin House Road off Ronald Reagan Pkwy, cross over Hwy 124 and keep going past The Avenues to a neighborhood called Great Lakes Estates on the left (about 2 miles after Avenues, going towards Grayson) there is a house at the beginning of the neighborhood that is really beautifully decorated. The whole neighborhood is really festive, altogether. We've already visited them twice this year.

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Lake Lanier. We spent 3 hours in bumper to bumper traffic, paid $40 per car for a very MEDIOCRE light display, my kids were sleeping by the time we got there and now my brother isn't talking to me for taking him there.

Tell your brother to grow up...not talking to you is a little extreme for trying to share something fun for the holidays. It's not your fault it turned out the way it did.
