I will be relocating next month to Kennesaw. I've heard over and over again how bad the traffic is on Barrett Parkway. So how early do you have to leave in the morning to avoid the traffic? I will most likely be in the Calumet West subdivision (Harrison school district) but I am also looking at Marleigh Farms, Owens Meadow, Butler Ridge, Northwind, Arranmore and Shillings Chase.

Well, where will you be commuting to? There may be other roads to take to avoid the major traffic on Barrett Parkway.

I suggest taking the XPress Bus, if you are working during "normal" business hours. Trust me, it'll save you headaches.
http://www.xpressga.com/ Routes 480 and 481 will be of interest to you. |

Don't forget the laptop so you can email home to your loved ones every-other day as well. Yes... really...
Ok, maybe not, but one thing - you definately want to avoid having to travel on THIS part of Barrett Parkway during the morning rush hours, lunch time, or evening rush hours (it also clogs up on weekends from about 1:30pm to 5pm or so)... ![]() And if you can swing it, that Xpress bus idea isn't a bad one. |
