Hello All. I am new to Georgia, and I'm looking to go on a public date with a transgender friend. I have heard horror stories throughout the forum. We will be going out tomorrow night on our first date, and I'd like your opinions on where to go. The time would be around 5pm-10pm. I'm thinking to do an movie/dinner, but what movie theaters and restaurants would is known to be open to such dating situations? Other suggestions are welcome! This is out first time being out, so we are shy, scared, and nonetheless worried about backlash. We just want a quiet relaxed time together. Thank you!

Best theatres: Tara, Midtown, Plaza.
Restaurants: Pretty much anywhere in the vicinities of these theatres. But maybe start with Ten Atlanta and 10th and Piedmont. They're quite close to any of these theatres.

Thanks @LovinDecatur. You're awesome. Of the three theaters, which is the most likely to be most nicest and gay-friendly? Would it be Midtown?

Really they are about equal. What are you keen on seeing?
Im dying to see Belle, being a sucker for historical drama.

I was just about to suggest Belle. We're still deciding if we're even doing movies/dinner. I'm thinking of us going to 10th and Piedmont either before/after.

What horror stories are you hearing about??

The theater at Brookhaven is managed by a gay man, and is extremely gay friendly, this gay friendly thing is a little old. People can go wherever they damn well please.

OMG, really, get serious. This is not Mississippi..No one will even look at you or your friend. Unless you're both hot.
