Default Suwanee high schools

would appreciate any feedback on North Gwinnett and/or Peach Tree Ridge. (I have already looked at greatschools.net). Thanks.

Both are very good schools. My son attends North Gwinnett, and he's getting straight As in all of his AP courses. The teachers send me regular progress reports via e-mail (as well as the occasional "your-son-is-acting-up" e-mail).

Both schools are pretty football-centric, so if you have a son and he likes sports, it's pretty competative. Academically, I think North Gwinnett is among the top quarter of schools in Georgia whose students attend Georgia Tech.

Like any decent high school in Gwinnett, it's going to be crowded and your son or daughter will need to be prepared to be a motivated and independent-minded student.

I'm sure some of the other members can fill you in on Peachtree Ridge.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the response. We will be relocating soon and looking in the areas covered by the 2 schools. Our daughter will start off in middle school, but I'm looking ahead Thanks again.

You should also know that Gwinnett County is going to be re-establishing the school boundaries. Many Gwinnett families are concerned because it will mean that some folks will have to transfer their kids to other schools.

So if you're going to fit your neighborhood around the choice of schools, please check with the school district first.

Twinkletoes is on a distinguished road
Either one is a good choice. They are both good schools. Peachtree Ridge is newer.
