Pulte, John Weiland and Toll Brothers are national builders that have excellent reputations and all build here in Atlanta. Hedgewood Homes is a local firm that builds a very god quality home as well.

There are several in the metro area- but, what kind of home are you looking for? Most builders have their niche areas (types/sizes of homes). Are you looking to build? Or are you trying to find an existing home by a recommended builder?
If you have questions about any in particular- DM me. |

Would also help to know what price point you want and if you have a job in a certain area of town. There's rumors traffic here is a spot difficult.

Actually, there have been a lot of complaints re Toll Brothers. Maybe it's because they build high-end homes and people who buy those are more picky, but that's the general consensus.

KledgeBuilder said it best. Good in bad in all but make sure you find one that is not in financial hardship. I like Monte Hewitt, John Weiland, Colombo Development, to name a few. These are builders that I have had a business relationship with and i know how much they care about their product. If you PM me with anyone specific I can get into more details. Keep in mind I was a credit manager in the construction industry so I am more bean counter oriented when it comes to the recomendation.....see my thread on Liens.

It really depends on which part of town and what price point you are in to who I'd suggest. I've had good personal experience with Peachtree Residential and John Willis Homes...there are many other smaller builders too that have excellent higher end product. Feel free to PM me if you want more suggestions on a specific area.

Ryland is here also and have a good reputation.
Simple plan. Does the builder use Copper over Plastic 2X6,8,10 vs 2X2 and 4 Roof and scaffle(sp) support, is it proper or just a 2x4 holding up your roof ![]() Footer work, by code or just sitting on top of clay Plank or plastic proper wiring Basement, it better be open unless you like water and mold Is the builder going to be there tomorrow to back up the warranty or in Chapter 11? Just a few items

Brock built is an excellent builder here in the Atlanta Metro area Brock Built - Life + Style. I have a new construction home with them and I'm very satisfied. They have a number of developments in the City, Downtown, Midtown West as well Vinings, Historic College Park, Smyrna to name a few.
