Default Moving to ATL married with 2 small children

Hi,

We will be moving to Atlanta next year and would like to have an idea of the necessary rent budget for my family. I won't mind a 30 to 45 minute commute everyday, but need to be within driving distance from the city.

We want to rent first, A 2 bedroom would be fine because we want to see what it's like first. We do not want to throw money away.

School are important, calm, small crime rate, just a nice place to rent an apartment... we are very down to earth, loving family. I just don't want to make a mistake and put my family in an uncomfortable crappy community.

So with that in mind, (sorry for the long intro), could someone please point me into the right place to rent... the options are just so many and it's hard to understand what works.

thanks in advance

Eri
