Wow, I had no clue Parker was in charge of CATS in Charlotte when I was living there, and oversaw the launch of the light rail system.

Very true, and it's something I need to keep in context when considering Beverly Scott's tenure.

While I wouldn't say never, given the current state of Cobb County leadership, I would say it's highly unlikely at this point in time. There's too much criticism regarding funding, alignment, and MARTA's perception to convince Cobb County commissioners to allow a vote on MARTA membership.

Beverly Scott was a joke for the system, yeah she had to carry it through the recession but somehow not a thing improved through the recovery until Keith Parker was at the wheel. The iPhone app did not work the last 1+ year of her tenure and that has diddly squat to do with any recession woes, train arrival boards were all pretty much inop, the whole system was a complete mess just 2 years ago.

How she was hired to head MBTA is beyond me, poor Bostonites.
