Then you don't drive. You've given a proper signal for the proper length of time before every single lane change you've ever made? Never pulled in too close in front of the car you passed or too close behind ? PUH-leeze !

Let's not get off topic. I can only hope the little bastard pulls a gun and gets blown away by the popo. Clean and simple, no taxpayer money, case closed.

I want the guy to go through the public humiliation and have a conviction to hound him.

GEORGIA CODE
TITLE 40. MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC
CHAPTER 6. UNIFORM RULES OF THE ROAD
ARTICLE 9. SPEED RESTRICTIONS

§ 40-6-184. Impeding traffic flow; minimum speed in left-hand lanes

(a) (1) No person shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic, except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation.

(2) On roads, streets, or highways with two or more lanes allowing for movement in the same direction, no person shall continue to operate a motor vehicle in the most left-hand lane at less than the maximum lawful speed limit once such person knows or should reasonably know that he is being overtaken in such lane from the rear by a motor vehicle traveling at a higher rate of speed, except when such motor vehicle is preparing for a left turn.

Yes and no. I'm sorry you think every driver here is a bad driver, but there are many of us who actually try to avoid collisions.

Was Germani on his way to work when this happened? Not that this matters in the grand scheme of things, but it's been mentioned that he has regularly biked to work from Decatur to Midtown for many years. I mean, I can see him cutting through these residential neighborhoods thinking that - while he's in these neighborhoods - he's safe from the impatient loons who speed on Ponce, Piedmont, Peachtree, etc.. What cruel irony that some loon got him anyway - while he was in the relative tranquility of a neighborhood with a 25 mph speed limit.

(Of course, I guess impatient loons also cut through residential intown neighborhoods...)

How sad that this happened - I really hope he will be o.k.. I felt much more of a personal connection to Germani when I found out that he is the founder of the wonderful Atlanta Time Machine website. I've spent hours on that site!
