Cool What's all the fuss?

For several day's I have read post after post of northeners (Floridians aren't really from Fla.) complaining about life in Ga. I've lived in both places. Born in Savannah and lived ther for 13 yrs, lived in Tampa, St.Pete and Miami (I did learn to speack spanglish) I loved each city for differnt reasons.

The complaints I've read range from no race diversity, no culture, no beaches and no good resturants. These pepole must be living with their heads in the sand. Don't be affraid to get out and explore your town and if you don't like where you live MOVE!

Georiga offers everything from opera to quail hunting and less crime.

I'm moving southwest to Ga. in a few months to have a smaller town to live in a slower pace of life and a safer place to raise my 3 daughters and I asure you they will be cultured, diverse and well fed!!

It really is what you make of it. Coming from SoCal, Atlanta seemed a bit rural and boring. But I took the time to explore the town and eventually ended up sinking my roots here.

I will say though, it is more difficult to like any large metro area if you are not able to live out your desired lifestyle. All is well in buying that brand new two story house 50 miles outside of the city proper, but do expect the consequences that come with it as well. Granted, some are perfectly happy with their clean surroundings and the amenities afforded by a limited selection of big-box chains, and some are willing to sacrifice just about anything for their children's public education. But you will also notice the lack of choices in cultural venues, boutique restaurants, sporting events, and specialty shopping. And most importantly, the daily struggle with commute can take a toll rather quickly.
