My daughter will be in 10th grade and taking Algebra next academic year. Looking for an experienced teacher to come to my home or group classes is also fine.

Mr. Fred Veeder--math teacher from Dodgen MS. He is a wonderful teacher and all of the kids love him. He teaches the most advanced 7th grade math class which prepares those kids for the highest level 8th grade math class (can't remember the exact name of class but above coordinate algebra) and also prepares kids to take coordinate algebra in 8th grade (which goes on the Walton transcript).

Instead of spending lots of money on a tutor I suggest getting the Jason Gibson algebra dvds from Amazon and getting the algebra courses from the greatcourses.com site(but wait for one of their frequent 70% off sales).

These guys did wonders for my daughter. Give them a ring and see who they may have in your area.
